One concientious omnivore and one vege’s quest to reduce the environmental impact from their food.Both Wendy & Kate love their food. Wendy, a committed organic foodie and vego, is slightly more hard core, and seems to be approaching this project with the aim of eating locally straight away! Kate, a meat eater who loves farmers markets, sees this project as more of a journey: how can she learn to make the changes in where she sources her food and the diet required to reduce her food miles.This blog seeks to list and debunk facts and myths around the best ways to source environmentally friendly food, as well as discuss products that are available around Melbourne’s markets. It also contains links to further resources, including books, films and websites that feature helpful information.
